Fixing Assets
I had found a perfect and, most importantly, free model asset to be a better placeholder for our enemy model. After importing the asset into Unreal, it had it's own set of problems to bring which is probably why it was free in the first place.
First, the materials imported incorrectly so they were a certain clay-colored mess with no normal, roughness, or anything to help make the material look real. The asset came with the textures fortunately so I had to manually link the textures to their respective materials and they came out perfect. Next, the model came broken into separate pieces so I again had to import it, but this time as one whole mesh. Finally, which I'm still working on, the mesh is a static mesh, not a skeletal mesh like the one we need. I'm still in the process of turning it into a skeletal mesh and giving it a skeleton similar to the default mannequins used in Unreal.
